  • Fall classes will begin Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
  • We have two seasons at Motions; Summer (June-Aug) and Dance Year (Sept-May).
  • Students need to be the age or grade of the class they are enrolling in by June 1st for Summer Season and September 1st for Dance Year Season.
  • Enrollment is for the entire dance year from the date you enroll through May.
  • Registration for classes is through our Parent Portal. Specialty Camps will be registered through Meridian Parks and Rec.
  • If the desired class is full, please sign up on the waiting list  and we will let you know when a spot opens up!
  • Price of the class is per month unless otherwise noted.
  • Classes will be held at one of our two Meridian locations - Motions Dance Studio (MDS) 440 W. Pennwood Suite 140, Meridian or Motions Gym - 1500 Locust Grove Suite 100, Meridian
  • If you would like to TRY a class before you register please contact us to let us know.
  • You may withdraw from any class by sending in the withdrawal form that is on the bottom of the front page of the website. Withdrawals must be received by the 15th of the month prior to the month you wish to withdraw from (minimum of 2 weeks notice) or tuition for that month is still due.
  • Christmas recital fees are due with registration. Spring Recital fees will be due with January's Tuition.​

Our Tiny Combo class is for students who are 2 before September 1, and will be turning 3 during the school year.  This class is perfect for the littlest dancers as an introduction to ballet, jazz and tap. Creativity is encouraged as students learn proper technique and vocabulary through a specially designed curriculum that is taught to a variety of fun, age specific music and activities.

  • *Students need to wear dance attire, have their hair pulled out of their eyes, and will need ballet and tap shoes

Grown up and Me is designed for young children with a lot of energy who need a fun and constructive outlet who also want to tumble! Classes are structured to stimulate coordination, balance, strength, basic tumbling skills and creative movement all while learning how to be in an athletic class setting. Grown-up and Me classes require an adult caregiver to participate with the student.

Senior Combo is for students who are between the ages of 8-10 before September 1. In this class dancers will discover the fundamental movements and terminology of ballet, jazz and lyrical!    Through artistic and expressive ways, students will develop strength, coordination, technique, skill, self confidence, and new friends.

Teen Combo is for students who are 11+ before September 1. In this class dancers will discover the fundamental movements and terminology of  jazz, lyrical, and hip hop!    Through artistic and expressive ways, students will develop strength, coordination, technique, skill, self confidence, and new friends.

This class is for anyone who dreams of being a cheerleader! Students will work on basic cheer fundamentals including jumps, dance, stunting, tumbling, and cheering with our USASF All Star certified coaches. This is a fun way to develop strength, flexibility, and self – esteem through fun choreographed routines.

Tumbling/Acro 1 In this class students will learn forward roll variations, backward rolls, L handstands, basic lunge to lunge cartwheels, hurdles, bridge (head off the ground). 

Tumbling/Acro 2 To enroll:  Students must demonstrate mastery of Level 1 skills.  Instructors will let you know when your student is ready to move up.  Level 2 students will learn beginner cartwheel variations, handstand variations, bridge variations, roundoffs, front and back limbers, backbend from standing, backbend kickovers, front and back walkovers with spot, back handspring with spot.

Tumbling/Acro 3 To enroll:  Students must demonstrate mastery of Level 2 skills.  Instructors will let you know when your child is ready to move up.  Level 3 students will learn front and back walkovers unassisted, front and back walkover variations, valdez, front and back handsprings unassisted, roundoff back handspring, aerials with spot, head springs.
 Tumbling/Acro 4 To enroll:  Students must demonstrate mastery of Level 3 skills.  Instructors will let you know when your child is ready to move up.  Level 4 students will learn intermediate cartwheel and handstand variations, tinsicas, series back handsprings, back tucks, punch fronts, side aerials, front aerials.

Enjoy beginning and intermediate drop-in adult dance classes taught by members of Explore Dance Company. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or new to dance, we would love to have you join us! Classes meet weekly and each month features a different genre of dance so you can experience a variety of movement styles. Come have fun with us!

Over the course of this class, students will receive introductory instruction in ballet, cheerleading, hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, and tumbling/acro. Discovering different styles will help students find the ones that best suits their personality and will help them decide what classes to take for summer or fall!
Dazzle and Dance
Come dance with us dressed up as your favorite princess, mermaid or unicorn! Mix and match these camps for the perfect introduction to ballet and creative movement for your littlest dancers. Want to Withdrawal from a class?

If you wish to withdraw your child from a class, you must do so in writing via email to our Office Manager at [email protected]  before the 15th day of the month prior to the month you wish to withdraw from (2 weeks notice).  Otherwise, tuition for the entire month is still due and is non-refundable – no exceptions.
